Sunday, January 17th, 2010So here’s the low down… computer started acting up so I did a virus check with Spy Emergency. Software found three viruses which were deemed a high risk. Repaired infections, computer rebooted, then when it restarted I had the following error…

Please insert windows disk and select ‘R’ to repair.
Well, needless to say I no longer have my Windows disk because my ex decided to steal a good portion of my computer accessories when we split up, so I am wondering how I should go about repairing my system since I do not have the installation disk, without risking the loss of my files on the computer. I need to get my computer repaired ASAP as I need it for work. Many thanks to all who lend their suggestions!

How Do I Install Dll Files Without Windows Cd?
Saturday, December 19th, 2009Go to your search engine (Google etc.) type in the name of the dll (????.dll download) file you want. After locating it, download by clicking on “open” in the download box and click enter. Most dll files now are self-extracting and it will put the file where it belongs.
If you want to save the file, click on “save” instead of “open” and save to the folder of your choice. After downloading, click on said file and let it do it’s thing.
If not self-extracting, drag and drop the file into windows/system folder, as suggested by the other answers.
It would be in your best interest to bookmark where you got the dll file from, because you never know when something’s going to go wrong.
