Computer Freezes On Crcdisk.sys After Vista Update?

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

I recently built my computer and it was working perfectly until an automatic vista update installed itself. I rebooted, and the entire computer froze on the green bar. I tried safe mode and it freezes at crcdisk.sys. I can’t even do a format b/c it freezes even if I try to boot with the dvd, nor can I access command prompt. I’ve tried moving the RAM around, switching hard drives, disabling some PCI cards etc etc. nothing is working. Even trying to install xp or linux yields same error. Any ideas? PLEASE HELP MEEEEEE
