A Little Spybot Search And Destroy Window Pops Up….?
Monday, October 5th, 2009And it says…”Spybot has detected an important registry entry that has been changed.” Then it lists Category: System Startup global entry. Change: Value deleted. Entry: getPlusUninstall_ocx Old data: rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection E:\WINDOWS\inf\GETPLUSo.INF, DefaultUninstall.
The options at the bottom of the window are “Allow change, Info, and Deny Change”. I can also click on “remember this decision” when I select a response. What should I do here? Running on a Pentium 4, IBM. Got the comp used from a friend of a friend. Runs fine most of the time.
Microsoft Update Messed My Computer Up..?
Monday, September 28th, 2009I updated Microsoft Windows Tues. the 3rd. After I restared my comp. it said “The system Dll user 32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the dll C:\windows\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address change reserved for windows system Dlls. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. ”
I did a system system restore and that didn’t work. I downloaded something from Microsoft website that was supposed to fix it and still nothing. I have tried updating drivers, spyware/virus checker and defrag.
Certain programs won’t run like Windows Media Player, etc. When I try to go to a program it says ” Windows Installer, preparing to install” and then it won’t open the program. How can this be fixed?
