I Cant Install Directx 9.0c.the Installation Fails Each Time. I’ve Run Dxdiag, And It Says Directx Not Found.?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Whats strange is that I’m using programs that require Directx 9c. I suspect that it might be installed but is somehow not showing in Dxdiag. Under the files tab in DXdiag is says “The file gcdef.dll is an old version, which could cause problems.” I imagine updating Directx should fix this, I hope, but as I mentioned I am unable to install 9.0c. It fails each time and says “An internal system error has occured. Please refer to dxerror.log and directx.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem” I will include my dxdiag report as well as the directx.log if that helps. I want to solve this issues because I believe problems with directx are preventing me from installing updated gfx card drivers, which I badly need. If anyone can help, I would be so very appreciative. Please include links to sites, etc. that I can browse to for help/info. I’ve looked all over on the web searching for almost every directx term/error I can think of, and thus far Ive had little (none) success. Thanks=)

Why Does My Computer Automatically Restart Every Time I Press “play” When I Run Maplestory?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

This is the scenario:
I log on to my user account on my computer.
I wait until my computer finishes loading and press the MapleStory shortcut on my desktop.
The familiar update notices loads. I press “play”
The game connects to server.
The picture of the mushroom appears, then disappears.
Screen goes black.
Computers automatically restarts itself.
Then when I log back on windows tells me it rcovered from a serious error.
I disabled the automatic startup on my computer by right-clicking My Computer, Properties, Advanced tab, Startup Options.
I ran MapleStory again. The blue screen of death pops up displaying this.
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. The problem seems to have been caused by the following file: dump_wmimmc.sys

***STOP (OXOOOOOOCE, OXOOOOOOOO, OXF15B28E, OXOOOOOOOO)

Dll Error On Start-up Every Time I Turn On Computer.?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

A while back I had a lot of problems with a keylogger that seemed to stem from the website DriveCleaner. I ended up getting rid of the thing, and since my AVG Spy-Ware Remover removed one of the keyloggers, I keep getting this error whenever I start up my computer:
“Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\biuygmmj.dll
The specific module could not be found”
I search on the net for this .DLL file and I’m assuming that’s just the randomize name of the keylogger, thus why I cannot find it anywhere on the net.
Is there anyway I can get rid of this message from occuring everytime I turn on my computer?
Thanks a bunch.

What Is Up With My Pc Again? Blue Screen Of Death All The Time?

Monday, December 14th, 2009

I just recently bought a new processor at Microcenter, The Intel E5200 and my computer would give me the blue screen of death. My pc would just freeze and give me an error. Even during reinstalling XP i would get the blue screen. It is the 4th or fifth time of a clean install of XP on my hard drive. I did checkdisk and other programs i used to see if my hard drive had problems but my hard drive is fine. I swapped out the memory and my pc would still crash. I just put in my old celeron back in just now and my pc did not crash or freeze. My motherboard is a Biostar G31 M7 TE and it supports my processor from celeron and the exact model number for the E5200 all the way to quad core. I did not overclock or anything to my processor. The error i would get at the BSOD is Stop: 0×0000007A (0XE14D58C0, 0xC000000E, 0XBF90F00D, 0×7990A860
another BSOD said Kernel_Inpage_Data_Error
and also Win32K.sys-Address BF90F00 base at BF800000, date stamp 41107F7A
I saw on a thread on techguy that a processor could have compatibility issues with ram and i think it might be the case. As i speak right now i am using my Celeron 440 2.0ghz and it has not frozen or crashed yet. If i was using my E5200 dual core, even if i left my pc idle the cursor would freeze and the system would crash. I checked device manager and It has support for dual core. This is a custom PC build that i bough all the parts separately. Please help
already updated bios.
my pc keeps crashing and i found out doing research that it could be my memory causing it. 1st, the memory is two different brands. 2nd one ram is DDR2 PC26400 and one is DDR2 5300. I am using my celeron right now and its working fine but if i put in my dual core it would keep crashing. I heard that If you buy memory it should be the same speed according to my motherboard manufacturer. For example I have a dual core Pentium E5200 with a 800mhz fsb. So that means i should get PC2-6400 DDR2 at 800mhz right? Trust me i tried everything, i reinstalled xp llike 5 times. Its not my HD or drivers. Please help.
I also found out that both of my memry is single channel. One is Avent DDR2 PC-6400 800. Is this a generic Brand? My other ram is Kingston DDR2 PC-5300 667. Even when i swapped an only used one of each my PC, sound, audio and video lags, jumps, and skips. Shpuld i get new ram that comes in a kit of two identical rams for example http://microcenter.com/single_produc…u… or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…8… or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…8… or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc…8… which one would you prefer?

Is There A Way To Download All Dll Files That I’m Missing At One Time?

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

I’m trying to download/install the game called InsomniacRO.
It’ll say it can’t start because a dll is missing.
So I’ll download that, and then another dll is missing.
Download that, and then another one is missing.
It’s a waste of time doing all that.
So does anyone know if there is a way to download all dll files that I currently do not have?
