Is There A Fix For Windows Xp Tcp/ip Limit Of 10 Maximum Connections: I.e. Can There Be More Than 10 Clients?

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

I am using Windows XP professional and I have a network of 12 computers. I’m using one computer essentially as the “server” for a MSSQL database with other computers on the network accessing the data from it.
Any computer past the initial 10 computers that tries to access a program (that uses the MSSQL database in question) gets rejected, bounced, with the error message:
“\\server is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections that the computer can accept.”
I have already looked at this supposed patch: http://www.lvllord.de/ (Update of TCPIP.SYS), but I can’t get it to work, i.e. raise the number of computer connections allowable under Windows XP professional. Some chat sites seem to imply that this is a feasible item, please tell me if so.
Thanks

My Computer Keeps Asking Me For Certain Kinds Of .dll. And The Menu There Is No Start Butoon Or Icons.?

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

.dll. !! Could this not be conlicting with something in “dynamic link library” ?? we both don’t know yet. But first go to “Help and support” then hit System information/ Current-Running Services and if possible reach and Run all tests at Direct X. Try to carefully observe if there are Marks on Certain files that have been marked or try to check if there are services which are not running or missing files that could be demanding attentions. An essential file might have been corrupted / Old version file or wrong drive installation results. It coud best be determined when you try to open a program then the message is displayed instead. How did you realise this… I mean When does it happen ???. Try to keep close and if it happened again then Rush and write down the display informations and get back to me. Right ?

Is There A Way To Download All Dll Files That I’m Missing At One Time?

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

I’m trying to download/install the game called InsomniacRO.
It’ll say it can’t start because a dll is missing.
So I’ll download that, and then another dll is missing.
Download that, and then another one is missing.
It’s a waste of time doing all that.
So does anyone know if there is a way to download all dll files that I currently do not have?

I’m Getting A Ntoskrnl.exe Error. I Don’t Have A Installation Cd, Is There Something I Can Download?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

My computer was working fine until I shut it down (because it was running slow) and when I turned it back on it said:
“Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please reinstall a copy of the above file.”
I don’t have the copy of the installation CD that came with my computer, is there something I can download?
Can you also give me steps on what to do?

Is There A “explorer.exe – Application Error” Fix?

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

PLEASE HELP if you can.
After a recent viral attack which I managed to clean both manually and with Norton and Mcafee, I noticed that every time my computer boots up the following message pops up:
Explorer.EXE – Application Error
The instructions at “0×71ab664d” referenced memory at “0×71ab664d.”
The memory could not be “written.”
Click OK to terminate the program. Click CANCEL to debug the program
OK CANCEL
This pop up remains on the screen while my desktop photo appears. If I ignore it the system will boot as normal behind it. When I click OK the pop up goes away but the explorer.exe process stops and the desktop icons and the taskbar disappear. Sometimes it doesn’t even reach this far and the desktop icons and taskbar don’t appear at all. All you see is the wallpaper and the cursor and nothing can be accessed. If I click CANCEL another message pops up saying that their is an error with Drwtsn.exe (Dr. Watson) the program that is supposed to debug it. after this the desktop icons and taskbar disappear.I can usually get around this by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get to the task manager and clicking File > New Task (Run…) and entering explorer.exe. After this the desktop icons and taskbar reappear and the system runs normal.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
