How Do I Tell What Program Or User Has Access To A .dll File?

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

A .dll file on my home computer showed up as a virus on my pc. I have just uninstalled norton anti-virus and added panda software which seems to have found some things and “disinfected” them but the .dll file is still there. Its modified date is 6/3/06 and it didn’t come up as a virus until yesterday.
How do I know if this is a real file that I need? How can I tell what program(s) is using it?
Thanks!
