When Trying To Play Toca Race Driver 2 Or Another Game, I Get A Message Saying “an Error Encountered *rd2.exe”

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

The message continues, “the application module was modified. It may be damaged or infested”. I’ve tried reinstalling the game but the same message appears. I bought a new Race Driver 2 but the same again. My original game used to work and my other games (eg:-Race Driver 3) plays OK. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I Get A Boot Error Saying That That I Have A Corrupt File And Windows Is Unable To Proceed?

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

I have gotten a few of these messages, one said it was the file ntkrnlpa.exe(which I know is the windows NT kernel) and another said it was a .sys file. Also, I cannot go into safe mode without the same message. I can press F8 and and disable enforce driver signatures and that allows my computer to continue booting, but more often than not, things go loopy like a program won’t open or programs fail for no reason (my avast anti-virus is one). I don’t think its a virus and other sources have said to do a repair install but I’m not convinced this will work. I’ll do it as a last resort but if anyone has any other way, that would be appreciated, and I do not want to reformat. Thanks

I Keep Getting A Fssm32.exe Error Saying It Encountered N Error, Why, And What Is It, And How Do I Fix It?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Please be informed that fssm32.exe is a part of the F-Secure Antivirus application. This process should not be removed to ensure that your system stays secure. Also, Should not be disabled, required for essential applications to work properly.
Also, I suggest that you check the programs that run on startup, if there is for example some indexing programs that scans folders on Windows startup. If this 3rd party program opens up all files alphabetically in certain folders, F-Secure Anti-Virus has also to scan all these opened files. This shows up as process Fssm32.exe (F-Secure Scanner Manager) taking all available CPU time, and real slow startup.
This can happen also if you have WFP (Windows File Protection) enabled. This might cause System File Checker (sfc.exe) to go through certain DLL and EXE files at startup. More information about this and also in order to disable WFP can be found from Microsoft document.
