Rundll32.exe Process Opening With Error Message Sound But No Error Message.?

Rundll32.exe process opening with error msg sound but no error msg.?
I keep getting an error message sound… and I have noticed whenever this occurs, rundll32.exe is open in my processes. Recently I had a virus (Trojan.Vundo.H) which was removed by using Malwarebytes’ anti-malware. I have scanned my computer with Nod32, Kaspersky, Spybot Search&Destroy, and lavasoft ad-aware. They all come up clean so I know my computer is not infected anymore. I was wondering if there’s a way I could check what is opening rundll32.exe and giving me this error msg sound with no error msg, or if anyone else has experienced anything similar. P.S. please don’t recommend another antivirus because my computer is clean !

Should I Repair Windows Xp Or Reinstall It After A Rundll32.exe Error?

Friday, January 29th, 2010

I was infected by rogue spyware, thankfully I managed to get it off by un-registering the dddesot.dll file. But because I did it manually, I did critical damage to my system. Note: next time I’ll just buy Spy Doctor.
I’m required to open programs from Program Files whenever I execute an application. I cannot uninstall any programs nor install programs either. It’s become a real problem, and I plan to fix it immediately.
I just don’t know whether I should repair my OS(WinXP Home Edition) or just reinstall the whole thing. If I should repair it, how should I do that and will it format my drive?
Note: I have arranged to backup my data.

“what Is Meant By Rundll32.exe Error”?

You are no doubt reading this article because you’ve looked in task manager and wondered what on earth all those Rundll32.exe processes are, and why they are running. So what are they?
If you’ve been around Windows for any amount of time, you’ve seen the zillions of *.dll (Dynamic Link Library) files in every application folder, which are used to store common pieces of application logic that can be accessed from multiple applications.
Since there’s no way to directly launch a DLL file, the rundll32.exe application is simply used to launch functionality stored in shared .dll files. The rundll32.exe process is responsible for running DLLs and placing its libraries in the memory. However the only DLLs that you can call with the rundll.exe and rundll32.exe files are the ones that are only specified to be accessed by these processes.

Rundll32.exe Error @ Shutdown?

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
It just started yesterday.
Every time I go to shutdown, it tells me I can wait for the rundll32.exe program to end on its own or I can “end now” and lose file data.
However, when I wait for it to end the program on its own, it tells me it couldn’t. So, I click the “end now” button.
Then when I start back up, I lose all of my personal settings, internet connections & I have to keep reverting to a system restore point in order to get all of them back.
I checked to see if the system restore was off, and it was. However, I turned it back on and the problem continues.
I looked online to see if this was a virus and from what I’ve gathered, it’s not. There were variant names for this file that were viruses but I didn’t have any of them on my computer. (I am running XP.)
So, any help would be appreciated in getting rid of whatever this is… and if at all possible, do not suggest downloading another program online to fix it as I tried HiJack This and that really screwed up the computer but I was able to fix that.

Rundll32.exe Error/bug?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Somethings wrong with my computer lately. I am not sure whether it is a virus, worm, bugs or trojans.
I normally playing on9 games like other people such as gunbound and kartrider. Everytime when I start the application (gunbound/kartrider) it is running as usual. However, during the playtime a bug appear and it says: “The instruction at “0×10002c1e” referenced memory at “0×009f3fbc”. The memory could not be “read”. Click on OK to terminate the program”.
When I press ok button with the game is still on, the bug appears again. Same as the X (close button). Only when I close the games either gunbound or kartrider, the bug has dissapear. If I leave the bug alone, sometimes my monitor goes blackout for a few seconds and shows the desktop until I cannot see what is going on in the games.
