What Does Rthdcpl.exe – Illegal Dll Relocation Mean?

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

“System DLLuser32.dll was relocated in memory. The app will not run properly. Relocation occurred bcause DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows systems DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.” This is the message I received first 5.Apr.07. I did a system restore back 4 weeks and carried on alright. However, upon booting up the next day I got the same message. What does it all mean and who is the ‘vendor’? I have a new laptop (Dec 06 Toshiba Satelitte) running XP and am finding it is taking a long time to load when first switched on. Clicking on any icon, desktop or Start menu, takes a long time to respond. I am using mains power and dial up. Also aLogitech cordless mouse. Any ideas cos I don’t understand. :-(

Illegal System Dll Relocation?????? What The Heck Have I Done?

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

I keep getting the following message when I start my PC. I use windows xp:
The system DLLuser32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because DLLC\Windows\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
I haven’t the faintest idea what any of this means as I can barely switch on let alone do anything about it. Who should I contact? Any advice would be gratefully received thanks.

Error Message On My Pc. “illegal System Dll Relocation”?

Friday, September 11th, 2009

I’ve recently been getting an error message everytime I boot up my PC.
The title of the message box is “RTHDCPL.EXE – Illegal System DLL Relocation”
The error message reads” The system DLL user was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.”
So, far I have found the file and moved it out of the WINDOWS file folder, but that hasn’t helped. The file is for Active X. What can I do?

How Do I Fix A Problem Of The Illegal Dll System Relocation By Quickstart.exe And Dsargnt.dll?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

When I start up my computer, a huge popup made by DSargnt for Illegal DLL System Relocation turns up. Says that the user32.dll was relocated in the system. The C:\….\windows\…\shell32.dll was occupying some address reserved for windows dlls. Later, the same message appears when I try to run a program, except this time it was made by quickstart.exe. How do I fix this? I tried bunch of patches by Microsoft but they don’t work. Please note that the address is occupied by shell32.dll, not Hhctrl.ocx or anything else. What can I do???
