it’s an iQon laptop i get that message everytime i try to boot i have inserted the origanal disc but nothing, it starts to read the disc but i end up back in the same place everytime its driving me mad

Problems Setting Up Western Digital My Book External Hard Drive (setup Does Not Run Correctly)?
Friday, October 16th, 2009ok, so I try to run the setup file that’s on the hard drive, I assume to install the utilities and stuff, and it won’t run correctly. I double click on it and the first thing it does is tell me that Flash9 ActiveX Control or later is needed. I click Yes and Flash9 Player pops up. Upon closing this window, an error tells me “Access violation” at some address in module “Flash6.ocx”, which seems to be a null pointer error. Another window appears after clicking ok here that has the WD logo on it, but then nothing else. I assume this is supposed to be the loading image for the installation wizard, but it doesn’t progress beyond that. What could be wrong?
P.S. I have tried copying to the hard drive without doing the setup and it eventually ends up telling me that there isn’t sufficient space on the drive, even though explorer says I have more than enough. I don’t know if this is helpful

Wednesday, October 7th, 20091st) I put this CD in it loads Acrobat Reader 3 on to the computer (I know the lastest version is on their) when I go to view the files it comes up Invalid Colorspace. What do I need to do to get passed this problem.
2nd) Another CD wont load it gives The destination File Is In Use the file name is ( C:\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx ) Again what do I need to do to sort this problem

You have helped me out a few times before, and maybe you have some good advices this time too… I have 2 lap tops (Acer5501 and Acer5601) At the very same day, this error message appeared on BOTH LAP TOP : THE ERROR MESSAGE WAS : The system DLL user32 was replaced in the memory. The program will not run properly. The replacement was done beacuse the DLL file C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX has occupied an adress area wich is reserved for system DLL’s in windows. ——- PLEASE .. Friday, September 25th, 2009I managed to get spywared and phished. When I tried to remove the malicious files and folders, my system froze, and would not allow me to reboot, my administrater password was disabled therfore I could’nt log in (very clever! best I’ve seen personally). I fdisked the drive, and reinstalled xp. My disk is scratched and some of the ini and dll files (i believe were not loaded) some of the symptoms include, but not limited to are: unable to install a game controller, unable to install audio device and mixer, attempting to open device mgr sends me to a web site which reads action cancelled. Any suggestions on how to repair this problem other than purchasing a new copy of os?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009If I were you I would upgrade both of them. There is a new release of Windows Media Player as of yesterday. If you haven’t done so already, upgrade to IE 7.
dll problems occur either because the dll is corrupt (damaged) or it is in conflict with another program that you have installed.
Try the upgrade and go from there.
