During the outage the power went off for about 3 seconds on for about 1 second and off for about 30 minutes, this happened when my computer was on. When the power came back up I turned on the computer and everything loaded well but when I tried to open Firefox it said there was an error. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but it still didn’t work. The next day when I turned my computer on more error messages occurred. Not only did Firefox not work but Internet Explorer doesn’t either, in fact most of my programs couldn’t run! Including my games like Halo 2, and Age of Empires III. When turning on the computer I keep getting LogonUIexe_Bad Image and C:\Windows\sysyem32\rtutlis.dll, WFWIZ_vistaexe_Bad Image, C:\Windows\system32\avicap32.dll just to name a few. I ran a virus scan but that didn’t help and now when I click on my start menu it won’t open. It’s at the point where almost nothing

My Computer Was On During A Power Outage And When I Turned It Back On It Wasn’t The Same…?
Monday, February 22nd, 2010My Computer Went Dead After My Power Went Out For A Few Minutes…..?
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010When i turn my computer on…the compaq screen comes up ok….then it says: Disk Boot Failure, Insert system disk and press enter. What does this mean exactly? I didnt have a windows xp disk…so i got one from a friend. My recovery disks wont help either. So when i tried to install windows again…an i get to the part where your suppose to install the windows to my harddrive…it says: unknown drive in the box below. It says that like 5 times in the box below. Then it gives a error blue page. It says: The problem seems to be cause by the following file:setupdd.sys page_fault_in_nonpage_area. What is that exactly? People have told me my harddrive got completely messed up. But others have said it was fixable an the harddrive could be fixed somehow. Is there anything i can do at all to just see if my harddrive is at least ok…or if it can be repaired…without taking it out or anything? Only reply if your a computer pro or may know how i can get my PC started if possible. Thanks.
How Do I Get My Mobo To Power Up?
Friday, October 9th, 2009Hello all,
I have a Gigabyte MA790X-DS4 mobo. I replaced my old PSU – Fortron II 400w with a new Thermaltake W0301re 600w. With this new PSU, my mobo doesn’t power up correctly. I connected the 2×12 ATX to the mobo, and 2×2 12V to the CPU (since I have AMD 64×2 5200+), and I powered only the mobo, cpu, ram and video, nothing else. The problem is that no image appears on screen, and there is a noticeable lowered speed with cpu and video card fan speeds.
I tested the PSU, ram and video on other PC’s and they work well. If I thy to power up using my old PSU, everything goes well.
The problem is that for my new GTX260 I need the 600w PSU.
My config is:
Mobo GA-790X-DS4
CPU AMD Athlon 64×2 5200+
Ram 2Gb DDR2 Geil
HDD 160gb WD
Video Gecube Radeon HD3850
(I bougth a new GTX260 OCX from BFG)
DVDRW, Creative soundcard

Power Supply Blues – My Little Story.?
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009Custom PC:
Intel Pentium Core 4 – Core Duo – 1.6GHz
2GB Patriot Heat Sinked RAM 667MHz
Windows XP – Professional Service Pack 3
ATI Asus 4850 – 512MB – Clocked @ 625Hz
POWER SUPPLY:- OCX Stealth Extreme 600w – Purcahsed from ebuyer, has been making fizzling & crackling sounds since purchase, but I didnt think that was doing any damage, until this morning, when the computer refused to turn on at all. When the power supply is turned on, you hear the fizzling, and then The electricity runing out of it. Whenever the electricty comes out of it the mother-boards “green light” goes out. The motherboard is not powering up, so the whole computer wont turn on.
Any suggestions? Please contact me back by e-mail: iain.murdock@btinternet.com

After A Power Outage, I Can’t Get Active Desktop Recovery To Work. Any Ideas?
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009I get a script error notice. In system error log I find this
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.5700.6, faulting module flash8b.ocx, version 8.0.24.0, fault address 0×00068542.
Can Anyone Recommend A Quality Power Supply That Won’t Break My Budget?
Friday, August 7th, 2009I need a power supply for the BFG GTX 260 OCX 55 PCI-e graphics card. The specs say I need a minimum of 525W with a 12V rating of 38A or more. I want to get a quality power supply with minimal risk of bursting into flames, but at the same time, I find it very difficult to believe that I need to spend over $100 just for a power supply.
Thanks.
