I purchased this unit used & realized I can’t get the outlook express to operate. I would like to know if there is a site I can go to in order to obtain a free fix or download. I’m self-taught computer so need it easily understood. The way I understand the error is that it is lacking or has been removed….MAPISTUB.DLL
It is a Gateway 366; windows NT; windows 98.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How Can I Access My Outlook Express Mail And Address Book Using Vb?
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009I want to be able to manage my outlook express email and address book using Visual Basic. I’m not talking about sending or receiving emails from the server using VB, I can do that already. I want to access mail that OE has already moved to the local machine. I’ve spent a day researching this and my head is spinning. Most of the stuff I find has to do with sending and receiving. Only a couple mentioned accessing OE’s stored emails/addressbook (which is what I want) and they needed third party libraries or controls.
There seems to be multiple flavors of microsoft stuff: MAPI, Simple MAPI, CDO, but none of them are jumping out at me, I’m sure I’m missing something.
If you have a simple (and complete) example of what declarations I need (or OCX’s) and the objects, properties and methods I’ll need, that’d be a great thing.
Thanks in advance
Restoring Outlook From .pst File?
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009Can I completely restore my Outlook (address book, calendar, inbox, etc) from the outlook.pst file. My computer went down completely, after numerous spontaneous resets and a failed attempt to restore windows xp from the disk I got a blue screen Stop Error regarding a ntfs.sys error.
If I can get the outlook.pst file off of this drive will it completely restore my Outlook?
Also I was told because I had an ntfs.sys error, if I take any files off of this drive I can transfer the broken computers’ problem onto the new computer. Is this true?
Thank you for your help.

How Do I Recover Data From Ms Outlook On An External Hard Drive?
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009My motherboard went out, so I bought a new mobo, ram, etc, but the hard drive is still good. Plugged everything in, and it won’t boot up. I get an error, “System32\drivers\ntfs.sys” is missing or corrupt. I am told that this is something Microsoft does to combat software piracy. That’s fine. I’ve done a fresh install on another drive, and copied all my files over. The only thing I still need to do is get all my information from Outlook. My last PST backup was in December, so that’s useless. If there was a way to open Outlook on this drive, and make a backup, all would be fine – any ideas?
