System Failure. What Are Other Factors?(in My Case)?

Well, i have:
Intel P4 3.0Ghz(HT enabled)
1Gb of RAM(Motherboard supports up to 2Gb)
nVidia FX5500 256MB Memory
3 HDDs:(please ignore the dots)
…Seagate IDE 160Gb (50Gb for Windows XP-frequently used & 110Gb for data)
…Seagate SATA 120Gb (for Data)
…Maxtor 40Gb (for Windows Vista)
…(Therefore, i have 4 drives in “My Computer”: C:, D:, E: & F: )
Motherboard: Asus P5V800-MX(supports Intel Pentium D)
1 CD-ROM
1 CD/DVD+-R/RW
1 expansion card installed(Winfast Global-for recording videos)
I am a massive internet user(I download alot), multi-tasker(surfing the net while copying files, downloading, printing & etc.), data keeper and absolutely NOT a PC gamer – I use my computer for personal use, education and sometimes business. I edit pictures at 3k-20k pixel sizes, create HD videos, making flash, edit sounds, etc.
While watching Eagle Eye movie(copied the file from DVD to HDD) on my XP, my computer restarted on itself. After startup, it showed “recovered from a system failure. A log file has been created” why is that?. I restarted my PC again but, now, it takes more than 30mins loading the startup. I restarted my system again, but this time i used the Vista do some check disks and defrags. I still get the self restart while watching Eagle’s Eye on Vista. I suspected that there should be something wrong. I checked the CPU fan and temp, they’re: 1950-2000RPM and 42C-51C(are these values normal?) or have i just loaded lots of HDDs? or should i need upgrade system: buy new CPU, add more RAMs and buy higher display cards? or is my OS corrupted* and needs a reformat as well as installation?
*Recently, XP showed an error about Dr. Watson(what this?) and then laggs. No errors in my Vista.
Any suggestions, explanations, & tips on how to avoid sys failure? Tnx alot!

How Do I Open .dll And Other Files/programs With Windows 2000?see Details…?

I just took an older computer with windows 98 on it and put 2000 on it.Now when i try to open certain programs like .dll files and things like that,i get a box that pops up and says “open with” and it lists a few programs that came with 2000,like note pad,internet explorer, a few other basic programs,and a few basic programs/software that i just added myself.When i get the “open with” box i click on just about every thing thats in there and still cant open it.Is there a program that i need to download so i can use these programs?Also,now that i put windows 2000 on this comp,it has basically nothing on it,not even “java runtime environment”.What are some basics that i should get?I already added java,quicktime,and a few others,what else should i get?Thanks!

Auto Restart/blue Screen Ofdeath And Other Errors?

The computer is stuck in a reboot restart mode. I am absolutely unable to log in unless I use the console.
The BSOD Stop codes: 0z0000007e(0xc0000005, 0×87027382b2,Oxf78cf324,0xf78CF020)
None of the command prompt options get me in. When I choose safe mode(any option) the following errors scroll down my screen:

sometimes as windows starts it says the system cant find the file specified .its a keyboard driver i think ,and the keyboard neither works nor shows up in device manager when ever that error message shows up.its at system32/drivers/kbfiltr.sys ..but how do i tell windows that its there! …all i do is reboot and press the del key to enter the bios .(i think the computer is more sensitive to the del key!).return to windows (without making changes)..and it works.how?

Whenever i try to put windows 98 back on my other computer its comes up with t2 messages: ‘THE FOLLOWING FILE IS MISSING OR CORRUPTED:HIMEM.SYS. THERE IS AN ERROR IN YOUR CONFIG.SYS ON YOUR LINE ONE
‘THE FOLLOWING FILE IS MISSING OR CORRUPTED:CDI.SYS THERE IS AN ERROR IN YOUR CONFIG.SYS ON YOUR LINE 5.
these messages appear when i put the flopopy disc in. When i try to just use the cd it comes up with the message: INVALID SYSTEM DISC.

Runtime Error With Iexplore.exe When Other Users Have Explorer Window Open?

I have a new Gateway computer with McAfee Security Suite installed. I get a runtime error with iexplore.exe whenever I try to open a window when another logged on user has one open. Any clue?

I got infected with a nasty virus that messed up my web browser and all I get now is an iexplore.exe error when I try to start it. The virus blocked my computer’s virus protection and also redirected my IE to other pages. I was able to clean the infection off my computer, but now I can’t get my IE to work. When I start it I get an iexplore.exe error message and then my computer wants to restart. It was like hell trying to remove that virus so if there is a program that can fix this I would prefer it. Any suggestions?

Got many answers but none are correct…
And its not run out of disk space cuz I got like 70% free space…
one example of messsage errors I get when i open a software program…:
Component MSWINSCK.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
~~AND NO… its not the mswinsickOCX file missing
do I actually need to put those OCXfiles into somewhere specific ,,,if so how do I do it?

the system DLL user32.dll was erelocated in memory. the application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the dll c:\windows\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for windows system dlls. The vendor supplying the dll should be contacted for a new dll.
