So here’s the low down… computer started acting up so I did a virus check with Spy Emergency. Software found three viruses which were deemed a high risk. Repaired infections, computer rebooted, then when it restarted I had the following error…
Windows can not start due to corrupted or missing file…
System32/DRIVERS/pci.sys
Please insert windows disk and select ‘R’ to repair.
Well, needless to say I no longer have my Windows disk because my ex decided to steal a good portion of my computer accessories when we split up, so I am wondering how I should go about repairing my system since I do not have the installation disk, without risking the loss of my files on the computer. I need to get my computer repaired ASAP as I need it for work. Many thanks to all who lend their suggestions!

Repairing Windows Xp Pro Without Original Cd?
Sunday, January 17th, 2010Is There Any Program That Can Open A Encrypted Dll File And Show The Original C++ Source Code?
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010DLL files, like all programs are actually in machine code which can easily be converted to assembly code (think of it as human readable code but just barely)….any attempts to convert that to a higher-level language such as C/C++ is possible but any attempts are virtually always met with “estimates” which dont end up compiling the same way ever again. So, in a nut-shell, to get the “oringal C++ source code” is impossible, but to get a guestimate on a C++ source that represents what it could have been is potentially possible, but more than likely but you would then have to do some major work cleaning things up to make it work the same again.
Howeve,r if the DLL file was done in .Net (using one of the languages: VB.Net, C#, or Managed C++, etc) then YES you can get back the original source code quite easily (with comments)….But if the code you are looking for was originalyl done in C++ then pray it was done in Managed C++ otherwise you are out of luck (for the most part). This is not to say it is impossbile but things just got more difficult….and comments wont be apart too
How Do I Fix Error Wkswp.exe Entry Point Not Found On Works 8? I Don’t Have The Original Cd.?
Friday, October 30th, 2009I bought my computer with the Works 8 already installed on it and don’t have the original CDs. I think I deleted something really important with a registry fixer and I can’t get it back. The entire error message is this:
wkswp.exe – Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point ?CbFromWz@MWblStrings@@SAHPBG@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library WkWbl.dll.
The error occurs when I try to open Microsoft Works Word Processor. Similar errors occur when I try to open Works Spreadsheet, Portfolio, and Database. The calendar and task launcher works fine.
I installed Office 2007 beta a couple months ago, but it worked fine. Once the error occured, I deleted the beta, but that didn’t fix anything. I think I deleted something with the registry fixer and that caused the error.
How do I fix this? HELP!
