I’ve just downloaded the Dell 1501 Sigmatel sound driver for XP SP2, and it tells me, after I’ve unzipped it, “Exit error: error: Device Object not present. Please restart system and try again.”
But I’ve restarted four times. Please help?

Select ‘r’ at the first screen to start repair. Can anyone give me some suggestions on this problem???
Serenum.sys/ Hd Issues?
Sunday, August 30th, 2009So I got a computer that I am working on and it’s got me puzzled. Less than two months old. Will not boot up except with a a boot disc, can not recognize the hard drive, or any other drivers for that matter. It seems to me every thing has been wiped out some how.. Try to reinstall Vista but an error stating that serenum.sys could not be found. What the hell is going on here. I can not see that the HDD would go bad so soon.
What Is Wrong With My Computer? Hhctrl.ocx Issues…?
Wednesday, July 29th, 2009My WinXP Media Center PC recently started giving me an error message on startup. The message says:
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
I haven’t installed any new software recently, and I’m careful when surfing the web (Firefox+ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite). Any idea what is going on here?
