Hello i am trying to do a clean install of windows xp home editon i currently have xp pro installed ok here my problem i enter the setup and it goes past teh press f6 if you wont the raid etc. drivers i dont press it then it loads and then it says windows is now loading and befor it goes to the repair press r press f8 to aggree and stuff like that i get a blue screen of death (bsod) wich says abotu an error becuase of pci.sys or something
please tell me how to repair this thanks

Suddenly my laptop crashed and will not boot up, it keeps resetting to protect it’s self…
I know a bit about computers so I ran in safe mode, no change
I pressed F8 and ran Debug Mode – failed
I pressed F8 and did System Windows Restore and I acctually got it on to the log in pge before it crashed again.
I did system configuration adn it crashed.
The error is:

I need to disable the BIOS memory Chaching and Shadowing but how do I do this?

I have no idea what it means or what it is, nor do I have any idea of how to get rid of the lil popup. It’s not a big deal, just annoying. Sunday, August 23rd, 2009I want to reformat my computer, which runs Windows XP Home Edition. My ISP is Verizon DSL, and I was wondering… if I reformat my computer, will I be able to go on the internet after I reformatted? Do I have to reinstall anything? If I have to reinstall Verizon DSL, then I don’t know about that because the CD doesn’t seem to work. I get an error message: “Self-Registration Error:C:\WINNT\system32\MacroMed\Flash\F… Is there any way around that? Is it possible to save any Verizon DSL programs so that after reformatting, my internet connection remains intact? Help would greatly be appreciated… especially if it’s detailed. Thank you very much.
