”windows Cannot Find ‘ctfnom.exe’. ”this Error Mssg Appears When I Log In.how Can I Get Rid Of This Error?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

ctfnom.exe is a virus. The original file by windows is called ctfmon.exe.
What most likely happened is that your anti virus deleted the file and now whenever you restart, windows tries to load the file but cant find it.
Click start, select run and type in “regedit” without quotes and press enter.
Once the window opens select edit from the toolbar and click find.
Type ctfnom.exe in the find box and when it comes up just delete the entry. There may be more than 1 references so press F3 to look for the next reference once you delete the first. keep doing this until you have search the entire registry then restart.
