I just started having this problem but when I go to shut down my comouter it wont shut down anymore. The screen turns black and this error message occurs. I have a gateway computer.

Iesmin.exe Error On Windows Xp Slowing Down System?
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009ok so my computer just started to slow down lately, and whenver I go into the task manager, there is a process called iesmin.exe that shows up on the process list like 50 times (no joke). Thursday, October 8th, 2009I have an AOL optimized PC I bought thru aol, it’s a cheap systemax PC, worked fine, but got a virus. Computer kept shutting down for nothing. There is a Tech in a Box feature to restore to previous date, but didn’t work. Resorted to Restore to Factory Settings. Everything was going fine then the whole thing shut down again before it had a chance to finish. I tried to reboot with bootable recovery CD and it didn’t work. I just get the opening DOS screen saying System boot error. Any idea how to get the CDROM to read the bootable CD? I’m broke but need my computer! I’d appreciate any help at all. If it sounds fatal, let me know.
I’m going to go nuts without a computer on this long weekend but I’m too broke to pay someone to fix it
