Is Tdserver Control / Bitstream, Inc. Meant To Be There? Problem?

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

I am having this recurring problem with Internet Explorer (7? I dunno) where sometimes, with any site, windows open uncontrollably, really quickly so there are dozens by the time I can shut off the computer. It doesn’t happen every day but it’s happening a lot.
I read somewhere to disable dodgy Add-Ons, and everything seems okay except this:
NAME: TDServer Control
PUBLISHER: (Not Verified) Bitstream, Inc.
STATUS: Enabled
TYPE: ActiveX Control
FILE: tdserver.ocx
I don’t want to delete it without knowing what it is…any help? Or should I just download some anti-malware etc to delete the problem? Thanks!

Visual Basic 6.0 Servo Speed Control Question!?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Has anyone out there been able to control speed of a servo with Visual Basic 6.0. My program consists of three position servo controls (have working) and video OCX video control (have working). But with a servo speed control, the synbyte is not working with my Vertical scroll(using two timers–one on each axis). I did some thinking and became aware synbyte of 255 is only for position of the servo–not speed. Does anyone have code for servo speed control (servos have been converted to speed control)? Or is able to use experience?
Thanks,
Jim A

I Am Using Moving Map Display Control From Silicomp Http://www.silicomp.co.uk/products Can I Use It With Vb?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

According to Silicomp it is for .NET based applications but i was wondering if there is any way of using it in the old VB 6.0 and use it in the same way as OCX control? Otherwise can you tell me if any of you guys have used it in your .NET application. A running sample code will be ideal. :-)
Thanks.

Mobile Sms Control Through Pc?

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Respected,
I really thought of making an application in either VB6 or C#.NET which gets SMS alerts from cellphone. Let me clarify.
I have my cell phone connected to my PC via bluetooth. I want to develop an application such that when I receive an SMS in my mobile,I get that sms in my application so that my application decodes that sms and performs some tasks. This type of technique is used in song selection where people send the song codes via sms and the computer selects that song and plays on the television.
I tried to search for some ocx and dll’s for vb. I was able to find a few of them but most of them are not free. I want to develop one of my own or any free ocx control will also do. Please guide me from where to start. I want to develop in either VB or C# 2005.
Thanks in advance.

I Need Help With Flash Player Activex Control!?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I’ve received an update to my Flash Player with an ActiveX Control called “FLASH9e.ocx”. Since then my browser needs to shut down whenever Flash is required to play.
It’s frustrating and I can’t seem to fix it. I’ve uninstalled Flash and reinstalled it. I’ve now disabled the activeX control. I’m running Internet Explorer 6 and have found no help within the Adobe Flash website.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Much appreciated.
