ok so when I turn on my computer, I enter my username and password and I will get a blue screen and a message : Winmgmt.exe – Aplication Error
The aplication failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate application.
so I do but my files and start bar etc never load and I have to shut it down manually… and after a while the message appears again.
PLEASE help I’m using my bro’s computer right now and I need to do stuff on mine

Windows 2000 Recovery Help?
Thursday, February 11th, 2010Heres the deal, I recieved my dads older laptop he was given by his work. Right after my warrenty went out on it it decides to break. Now when I reboot my laptop it says:Disk I/0 error: Status = 00001000 windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \Winnt\systems32\drivers\Fastfat.sys and during this time is does a loud continous beeping noise Now I’ve talked to gateway the maker of the laptop and they have been saying I need the recovery disk which I do not have. Then I contacted Microsoft and they are absolutly NO help They just told me go back to gateway and complain. So I was curious if anyone has the files from a recovery disc for Windows 2000 that they can give me or a real tech support (thats free) that will help acually repair my problem and not send it off another direction. Or maybe even a place to get the recovery disk!!!!

I think it is the redistributable kit needed to run the dll and definantely not the development kit but will I have problems if I install .Net version 2 if I created it on .Net Version 1 and if and is there anything not included in the msdn that may be needed

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009when I turn it on it goes to the windows start up screen but then a blue screen comes up and it says: Stop c000026c
\SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\i8042prt.… device driver could not be loaded, error status was 0xc0000221. I have tried to start it in every mode possible and it still wont start. I bought a windows xp operating system disk and it wont even read the disk. So basically I am wondering if this computer is even worth trying to fix and if so what can I do to fix it. Help Me PLEASE!

Saturday, October 17th, 2009I have been having trouble with my comp for quite some time. I have little to no knowledge of these things but I do know that this isn’t right. I am having an “unknown” error come up quite often and am unable to even view over 1/2 of web pages due to this error. When I checked the system log it stated : “The description for event ID (1000) in Source (Microsoft IE) cannot be found. The local comp may not have the necessary registry infoor message DLL files to display messages from a remote comp. The following info is part of the event: iexplore.exe,6.0.2800.1106,flash9e.ocx,9… That is all it had. I have NO CLUE what this means. If anyone could please help me I would appreciate it!!!!! Thanks!!
How Much Ram Does Windows 2000 Recognize?
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009it seems like the second stick of 1GB memory is causing tcpip,sys errors. my two choices (and there are probably more) are 1, W2K does not see the second stick and it just being there is causing the crashes; or 2, the stick is bad. both are Kingston 1GB sticks, no more than two months old on a two month old computer. I have the second stick off the MB to see if the crashes stop and knock on wood, they have for now.
