When I Open Folder- Access Is Denied (in Xp)?

Well, i had 3 partitions in my hard Disc( C: , D: , E: )
i used a software “partition magic” to merge two of my partitions( D and E)
When i do so, the software automatically copies all the files of the partition E, to a folder named “SYS” in D, and then merges both the partitions D and E to a single partition D.
now, when i try to open the folder SYS, there comes an error message, “D:\SYS is not accessible, access is denied”
When i try deleting the folder,
there is another error message,
“Cannot delete SYS: Access is denied.
Make sure the disc is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use”
I just want to get rid of the folder, can someone help me plz..!
correct answer gets 10 points..!

  1. Copy all the contents to anohter drive, then format the current drive, then paste the data back, where it was..!
    DONE

  2. If possible scan your PC with Kaspersky online scanner. I guess it has to be solved.
Else you can do a thing. First copy the data of the disk(which shows error) to another disk. then right click on it and click format.
you can even choose quick format.
That’s all. You can now restore all your data back.

Restart your computer, Delete the folder.
If that doesnt work then you may have to delete the folder via the Command Prompt.
There will be a few guides on the internet on how to delete folders via CMD
    Good luck!

Make shure you are in admin mode, Restart your computer and make shure you dont open the file and try to delete it. Hope that helps.

It means that you are using a user-account without administration privileges.
