Alright, I keep getting the blue screen of death, sometimes just once a day and others about 17+. I get the Driver IRQL and promptly after a USB_BUG_CODE(or just the USB one), they both mention usbohci.sys at the bottom. I’ve searched around and people have said to update my drivers so I have been. Now, I really want to update my tablet driver because it seems to do it a lot when it’s plugged in and I -need- my wacom tablet(Graphire 3) as I’m an artist. I try updating it, I restart, it says there’s a problem with the driver and to re-install. I’ve tried re-installing countless times so I’m wondering…what did I do wrong and do I really need to update my drivers to make the system errors go away?
might need an update for your motherboard chipset?
have a look in device manager > system off control panel
see what it lists as usb devices, the hub , the maker.
could be a conflict with another usb device thats plugged in or are you using it via a external hub?http://www.filehippo.com/download_everes…
try that , see if theres updates for any of the components in the pc..
also try this >http://www.filehippo.com/download_cclean…
“issues tab”
as for re-installing it , unplug the tablet. install the drivers…
then reboot.. only then plug it in..
depends on your pc, is it really old, if its usb1 that would cause issues also
perhaps a usb2 card would fix that..http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/33522
is what i used , ,but 4 port version.. that uses NEC chipset.. i’d stay clear of cheaper ones as i had nothing but problems
