My cousin send me a PC (1.1 GHz Celeron, 128 MB RAM) and no Hard Drive. I remove my HDD from my PC which is working properly and attached the HDD to the Celeron. Now I am trying to Install XP on it. The setup is start but after a few minuts this message appears–”setupdd.sys could not be loaded, The error code is 4,setup could not be continue. Press any key to continue,/”
I have tried many times, exchange CD drive and HDD connections separatly but problem is still rhe same.

The cd is damaged. Try to wipe it with a soft cloth and try again, it might be a dirty spot.

You said you have 128 MB or RAM. That could be the problem. That’s an extremely small ammount and you probably need more to install Windows XP. You can buy RAM cards to put in your computer.

Well, first I have a question for you. Does your hard drive have an operating system already on it? That could be messing it up. I’ve had stuff like that happen before.
The first thing I would try is getting a cheap, 5-ish gig hard drive. Install XP on that. If that works, you know the problem is the hard drive or its connection to your PC.
The only other thing I can think of to do is just try another XP install CD, if you can. You can use your CD key so it’s still legal.

Make sure the CD your using to install XP is in working order, sounds like there is a problem with the cd.
