Okay, so I’ve been trying to burn something for the past 2 days and can’t. I’ve wasted about 6 dvds trying different methods and I’m at my wits end. I’ve tried everything suggested online, including slowing down my burn speed, but I still can’t figure it out. I’m using nero recode to compress the dvd, and then burn it. It came with my nero 7 package. Here is the end of the log file.

Looks like the problem is with your drive. Your Nero log shows:
“Writing file to disc failed” and “Burn process failed”. You can try cleaning your drive (there are cleaning discs you can buy), also compressed air for dust, but most likely the laser is gone.
