Need Help Installing Windows Xp Pro?

Please help. I can’t re-install my OS as when installing I get an error
saying it can’t copy these files:-
ks.sys
modem.sys
ndisuio.sys
nic1394.sys
sonydcam.sys
msh263.drv
uagp35.sys
ntkrnlpa.exe
Any ideas? I have re-formatted the drive. The only luck I had was
installing XP x64 on to the drive which worked but is useless as it doesn’t
support my additional software or hardware…..Is it a virus? I have tried my
original cd and back-ups (no scratches etc) always the same files being
dropped.

    It sounds like your cd is damaged (even though there are no visible scratches on it). There may be just a single bit of damage at the point where these files are stored. See if you can borrow a copy of the same cd from a friend.
