first delete the folder and all avg ~use add and remove programs
then try
turn off fire wall
install http://dap.com
it is a download accelerator (free)that checks downloads for viruses.
put fire wall back on
download AVG
as DAP is behind your firewall it should complete the download
a compliment to avg is http://ccleaner.com
hope this helps
Uninstall AVG. Sometimes those crashes are usually made by viruses.
Some Antivirus and anti spyware programs have poor detection capacity and even cause threats to your computer. For best protection, use both Avira Antivirus for Virus protection and NoAdware 5.0 for spyware and adware protection.
Avira Antivirushttp://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/dow…
No Adware 5.0http://www.savefile.com/files/1933682
i wouldn’t recommend using avg its the nest at being the worst. go to mccaffee website and they other some freebies at least to cover your internet usage. as for virus detector use spybot which is free and much better and get yahoo toolbar for a window pop up blocker. further advise is not to use that computer for purchases and sensitive data until you buy some proper software
AVG is featured-limited
Avast is a resource hog.
Try the absolutely free COMODO Internet Security. Absolutely no strings and has a very active forum community to help you out if you are in trouble.
Windows Firewall may be blocking access from that website, because it interferes with Windows Defender and other security programs. AVG has compatibility issues with other programs. So, I wouldn’t suggest using AVG. Use Avast. It’s free and great.
The old AVG files may be conflicting with the new installation. happend to me , i deleted all the files and it went on smoothly.
if not the installation files may be corrupt
Hi, leave AVG alone and try Avast home edition along with malwarebytes, i’ve used them for years without any trouble.http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…http://www.malwarebytes.org/
maybe your windows firewall is blocking the download ? check for the beige banner that advises of this, right click to allow the download
the best one to get is *(windows live one care)
ive tried all the rest and i think this one is the best on the market
after all it is made by windows ie bill gates
