Select the Tune Up scan, when the little window opens select Customize and uncheck everything except Registry Scan. It’ll repair your registry errors.
PS – Be careful what you use from online, there are a lot of bogus Rogue programs that will offer to “fix” what isn’t broken for a fee.

The story is too long to see.
I have seen a lot of solution to clean registry, but the solution from Security Stronghold seemed to be reliable enough. It has 21 levels for perfomance tweaking to fix registry quickly enough.
