sorry.. your looking at a Re-installation..
you could try putting in the re-installation disc, booting to it (hit f12 on startup.. choose boot from cd) .. and clicking repair.. and then repair using recovery console.. and in the console type in chkdsk /r .. that may resolve it.. that or a re-install ..
This is what I found searching through Google…
Vista computers
1st – check to see if you are using the latest version of your motherboards BIOS, if not, update it.
2nd – turn off UAC temporarily
3rd – boot into safe mode: Try again using Safe mode to install the drivers from the NVIDIA WebSite and be sure you follow the NVIDIA procedures for removing any old drivers first.
Do NOT use Windows Update to check on or obtain new drivers from Microsoft for your card. There have been several reports recently of Windows Update installing new NVIDIA drivers and causing problems like the one you are having.
This should do the trick.
It’s because you need to go update your Nvidia card.
Same thing with my boyfriend’s computer.
Go to the website and try to find a way to update the program..
I remember everytime his shut down like that, a little thing would tell us the cause, I clicked “Help” or something, and it told us to update our drivers for the Nvidia card, then I clicked a link.
You should be able to figure this out yourself once you get to the website.
It’s called the blue screen of death, what you can do is: Format your hard drive and install windows again, maybe the problem is that there was an important file that was deleted.
hope thiz works =]
Put in the windows vista installation CD and click on “fix my computer” (or something like that). Then click the button that says something like “find and fix problems that prevent my computer from starting.”
Reboot in safe mode. Go to the Nvidia site and download the latest drivers and install.
