Bsod When Loading A Disk?

Hi there
I am running:
Vista Home sp2
Core 2 Quad 2.33 Ghz
4 GB RAM
Basically what the problem is, is that i get BSOD when i put a disk in the tray.
When its a blank disk it loads fine, however games and DVD’s bring BSOD with them when they are inserted.
BSOD ERROR says:
FLTMGR.SYS
STOP: 0×0000008E
Really annoying me as i cant play any of my new games
Please can somebody help me ASAP

    Trawled around some of the Tech forums and this seems to have been a problem dating back as far as Server 2003.
    FLTMGR.SYS is the file filter manager and bad drivers, file corruption and malware are all attributed to it failing.
    Whatever the reason either doing a System Restore or a reinstall of Windows seems to be the only satisfactory solution.
