when I right click on desktop icons an error is shown ” explorer.exe has caused an error , it will now close”After that computer hangs. How to solve this problem?

Go START->RUN in the RUN box type SFC /SCANNOW and hit ENTER this repairs Windows iow IEXPLORE
if its not get clear after u try to repair then put ur XP cd and give repair it will do it
