I Am Unable To Open ‘.exe’ Files Error Is “windows Cannot Find The Specified File Or Path”?
the message i am getting is “windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not have the appropriate permission to access the item”

there may be a few reasons to your concern.first if it is a setup exe file for any software ,make sure u have all the files required.
secondly if it is from a cd then make sure ur drive is able to read it and the disc is not damaged.but hearing ur question i think that the exe file was misplaced,that is it not there where it is intended to be so windows can’t find it. try system restore, or it can be a spyware or something like that and ur antivrus is stopping it from being opened
ok either you dont have administrator rights on your machine or i think you have SP2 on your windows…remove that and try again
