    if u have installed any packages like IE6.0, remove and install it
    again,
    If not, increase ur RAM

    Chances are you may have McAfee Corporate Anti-virus installed. I was having a similar problem here at my office with some users and all we had to do was go to the site and download the latest patch and it fixed the problem. McAfee had blamed it on Microsoft at first, but then realized it was their fault and released the patch.
