Explorer.exe Error, Help!?

Hi,
I had a little bit of a trouble with my computer and I have tried everything to fix it!
When ever I start my computer the explorer.exe wont start, the System says that is unable to find/start it. So I don’t get to my desktop, it’s just the background image with nothing else, No Start menue thing, No Desktop, NOTHING, All I can do is use the (Ctrl + Alt + Delete ) and I get the window thing, thats all.
Like I said, I tried everything to fix it,
~I got RegistryBooster 2 + the PowerSuit
~I got the antivirus AVG + Everything extra it included ( Bought every Update version and Extra thing for the Anti-Virus )
~I looked everywhere, There was one post saying to go into your explorer.exe or iexplorer.exe and delete the debugger and I did not have explorer!
Please if someone know how to help then help! Give me resources, place to look, anything. I don’t mind reading.
Thank you!

  1. notbrl says:

If you can bring up the Windows Security window (CTRL+ALT+DEL) click on the Task Manager button.
Select the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Left click on the Image Name column header to sort the processes in ascending order. Scroll thru the list to verify that Explorer.exe is not running.
Click on the File menu and select New Task (Run…). In the Open field enter explorer.exe and click the OK button. If you still get the error message that explorer can’t be found/started – repeat the previous steps but this time click the Browse button.
Click on the My Computer icon on the left. Then double click on your C: drive and then the Windows folder. Scroll past the various Windows folders and you should see the exe’s. If explorer.exe is there double click it then click the OK button in the New Task window.
If you do not see the explorer.exe you will need to copy the exe from another computer to your drive. This will require removing the drive from your computer and using a USB to IDE/SATA device to connect the drive to another computer. (these are not very expensive)
Once your drive is connected to another computer (with the same OS) via the USB cable you should be able to access the drive and move a copy of explorer.exe to it from the other computer.
With the file restored, return your drive to your computer and fire that puppy up.
    disclaimer:
Always verify that all power sources are disconnected before opening any case. With the power off the computer, push the power button. Open the case and ground yourself to the chasis before removing/installing any component.
