My Virus Scanner Shows I Have A Trojan In My Shell32.dll How Do I Fix This Problem?
a.v.g found a trojan in my shell32.dll itried searching for it at the command prompt it read not listed as service .

..get those operating system disc’s ready, you may have to start doing some backup and formating. lol. Try going into safemode, and locatiing the DLL file itself and try to do a permenatn delete )Shift+DEL)
the file you said it is infected with trojan does the antivirus (quarnteed it)
here is the solution for ( wondows xp – win 98 )
1) open run ( from start menu )
2) a) in windows xp write ( cmd )
b) in windows 98 write (sfc)
3) in windows xp write ( sfc scannow)
insert the CD ( source of windows ) in your CD room
if the problem presists ( install the windows after you format the partition )

REFORMAT AND BE FORE U DO THIS RESTART UR SYS WITH THE AV DISC IN THE CD ROM AND RUN THE EMERGENCY PROGRAM THAT SHOULD DO IT IF NO THEN WIPE EVERYTHING AND HOPE THE TROJAN IS NOT THE ONE U FORGOT TO FLUSH LAST NIGHT…LOL
If you have norton see if it will remove it. If not you can try many other methods but will end up formating and reinstalling, I have wasted days trying fixes some work some dont, but the best way is to erase everything to be sure you get rid of the virus. that means a format and reinstall. so take a deep breath, relax, and expect to spend a few hours there

I honestly don’t know much about computers, but a friend of mine had several Trojan viruses on her computer and the only way she could get it fixed was to take it somewhere. I don’t know what they did to it, but she had to take it to the computer store and have it done by a professional. Hope this helps.
