Sunday, January 31st, 2010ctfnom.exe is a virus. The original file by windows is called ctfmon.exe.
What most likely happened is that your anti virus deleted the file and now whenever you restart, windows tries to load the file but cant find it.
Click start, select run and type in “regedit” without quotes and press enter.
Once the window opens select edit from the toolbar and click find.
Type ctfnom.exe in the find box and when it comes up just delete the entry. There may be more than 1 references so press F3 to look for the next reference once you delete the first. keep doing this until you have search the entire registry then restart.

Sunday, January 31st, 2010whenever i try clicking on it it says steam.exe (main exception): unable to load library steam.dll. i have tried loading and unloading more than 5 times and it didnt work, i have takin my firewall down, allowed it through, and repairing it but nothing works. any tips on something new would be helpful, thanks

Pc Keeps Restarting. Help A.s.a.p, 10 Points.?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010My PC, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93, 2GB RAM, GeForce 8400GS 512MB, keeps restarting. It says that it did not start successfully. In there it shows these options:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Configuration
Start Windows Normally
When i choose “Safe Mode” it loads file like
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\wi… All files are .sys like ftdisk.sys or pci.sys.
Then asks me to “Press Esc to cancel loading SPTD.sys” When i don’t press it shows another:
“Press Esc to cancel loading vax347b.sys” and when i don’t press anything. Restarts.
Same goes for Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
When i try Last Known Configuration it goes to the Windows Logo and loads with the blue bars running then suddenly it goes to Blue screen the restarts. I disabled automatic restart when failure occurs. Then tried using Last Known Configuration, goes to windows logo, then It says on the Blue Screen:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
If this is the first time you’ve seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Same goes for start windows normally.
This type of error occurred only w/out the Blue Screen of Death and i can use Safe mode on my old desktop. I bought a new one after two months buying a new one this is the problem.

Learning Python And Already Stuck?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010I am trying to learn Python and in the first chapter of this book it tells me to make a module file by opening my favorite text editor (i assumed this meant something like Notepad) and type:
Import sys
Import sys.argv
and save it as spam.py
then it told me to run it by listing the filename as an argument on a python command in the operating system shell:
% python spam.py -i eggs -o bacon
I did all of this and i get an error stating invaild syntax
how could i be stuck in the first chapter, this is not good
HELP!!!
