Wednesday, December 30th, 2009Yesteryday my OS just kind of quit working on me, and now it won’t load. It sends me to a screen telling me to start normally, safe mode or last known good configuration. When I start with safe mode, it lists all these things and stops a Mup.sys.
Then all of them send me to a blue screen that has this on it (kind of choppy):
a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
if this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer as normal
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
then it says some stuff about uninstalling newly installed hardware and things of that nature (but I haven’t installed anything in at least 6 months).
and it also has this at the bottom:
STOP: 0×0000000ED (0×812c7498, 0xc00000006, 0×0000000000, 0×0000000000)
So basically I need to know how to get my pictures and stuff off of my computer before I send it in to IBM to reset the harddrive.
No I don’t have backups, because I procrastinated…

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009hi! im really having some problems with both my laptop and pc. i think they were infected by some sort of virus/malware. I already cleaned my pc with spyware terminator and avast but still problem occurs. this is what happens
LAPTOP: everytime I plug in my usb flash drive, these errors appear (xcopy.exe & attrib.exe). i tried closing them but still they keep on popping. bad thing is i cant shutown the laptop afterwards.
PC: happens when i remove a disc from the dvd drive. same error appears. but i can close the cmd boxes after i insert the cd.
What I’ve noticed is it started when the black cmd box appears after windows starts up. i already did the rsm refresh .bat file and ran autofix but still having the problems. I really need some help. TIA.
Entourage 12.2 – Cant Receive Pop Mail?
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009I upgraded to Entourage 12.2 last week and have been unable to get consistent access to my pop.yahoo e-mail acct. I can send fine.
I have checked all of the mail settings, deleted the acct profile and set up a new one to no avail.
I can access my mail from a web browser but the entourage client returns the following error when i try to connect:
[SYS/TEMP] Server not ready. Please try again after sometime
Error: -17900
Any recommendations?

New Hd Installed, Unable To Install Windows Xp Pro??????

The HD is totally erased and empty with NO trace of data. No OS installed, not 1 file.
Every time i try to install Windows XP Pro, I get a different error message each time, which causes the OS installation to abort. Here are some of the different error messages I recieve individually:
1) Windows XP cannot be installed on a disk connected to a PC card. Press Enter to continue.
This problem seems to be caused by: setupdd.sys
2) setupdd.sys

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009I want to delete a backdoor trojan on my pc that stems from the file: “C:\WINDOWS\system32\Systen.dll”. Yet, this file doesn’t appear in the system32 folder. How do i find it and get rid of it once and for all?
