Thursday, December 31st, 2009I am trying to install a program called Lanier VXP player. What this is is a device that plays files using a VPN connection to a hospital. I do medical transcription. I just got a new computer which has Vista on it. No one in the little company I work for has every tried this program with Vista. When I try to install it, it gets 96% done and then says it is installing “profiles/lanier healthcare/vxp player/drivers/winNT/joystick.sys” Then it comes up with an error saying “E:/drivers/winNT/joystick.dll” Any ideas what is going on? I would SO appreciate any help! Oh, and it also says “I/O device error (0×45d)”

Raise My Vga Fan Speed?

I just received my XFX 9800GTX+ in the mail today, its amazing!!! While playing my game at 100fps on all high ( AMAZING) my frames started to drop to the 60’s then the 40’s, then back up to the 90’s. I had this problem a While back, and it turned out that the card was gettn hot because the fan on it was only running at 20%. I want to raise the fan speed on my 9800GTX so itll run a lot smoother. I have asked around and been told to use Ntune, and RivaTuner, and Fanspeed. But None of these programs work:….
Ntune: I can change Everything except the VGA Fan speed, why?
like everything is highlighted and u can move the bar except for the vga fanspeed???
RivaTuner: Said at first incompatible with Vista 64bit( which is what i have), then it stopped with that error and came up with, cannot find Tuner32.sys. I re download it, reinstalled it about 20 times, and same issue.
FanSpeed: Very confuseing and doesnt have any place to increase your VGA Fan speed…
Please Help!!!!, i have tried everything i can think of, all i want is a program, or a fix to one of these programs that will work. Please!!!

I think I have other drivers also not installed so I basically went and installed some I had but like it wants me to restart which I don’t want since its gonna take forever to start up again…
My main problem is my computer freezes for no reason and goes all weird and then I am forced to shut it down, and in that state it goes berserk and removes my driver and I want to know if there’s anything else…
and if anyone knows why… I just get this blue error (bsod) screen pointing to nvstor.sys but I searched online and nothing comes up, no one has a solution.

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009hi! im really having some problems with both my laptop and pc. i think they were infected by some sort of virus/malware. I already cleaned my pc with spyware terminator and avast but still problem occurs. this is what happens
LAPTOP: everytime I plug in my usb flash drive, these errors appear (xcopy.exe & attrib.exe). i tried closing them but still they keep on popping. bad thing is i cant shutown the laptop afterwards.
PC: happens when i remove a disc from the dvd drive. same error appears. but i can close the cmd boxes after i insert the cd.
What I’ve noticed is it started when the black cmd box appears after windows starts up. i already did the rsm refresh .bat file and ran autofix but still having the problems. I really need some help. TIA.
